News10NBC has confirmed the lawsuit filed against the town and Greece Police Department over a crash involving former officer Nick Joseph has been settled.
Joseph was convicted in a hit and run crash in 2008.
Police said he was driving under the influence of alcohol and cocaine when he slammed into the back of a car on 390. The crash forced Alexis Sharp into early labor.
Sharp filed a lawsuit against Joseph, the town and Greece Police.
Today, a U.S. District Court judge threw out the suit because a settlement had been reached. The terms were not disclosed.
Nick Joseph is still serving prison time for the crash. His parole was denied in February.
This case also led to the downfall of former Greece Police chief Merritt Rahn, who was convicted of interfering in the investigation.
