Greece School District names new condensed schools | News

Some changes are being made in the Greece School District.
The board voted and approved the name changes for several schools as part of its consolidation plan.
Apollo Middle will now be called Odyssey Academy and be a six through twelve school
and Parkland Elementary is now West Ridge Elementary.
Brookside Elementary will now be a kindergarten through five school.
Buildings no longer schools will be called facilities now -- including Barnard and Kirkland.
The board also gave approval for its 2012-2013 budget to be voted on by the public next month.
The $199 million spending plan includes a 2.63 percent tax increase.
Voters will be asked to approve the purchase of 19 new buses. The budget vote will be May 15.
