Wilmorite applies for tax breaks on Greece Ridge development project | Business
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
The owners of Greece Ridge Mall are looking for tax breaks to help with development costs when The Bon-Ton closes next month.
Wilmorite wants to replace The Bon-Ton with new restaurants, a courtyard and other small retailers. They want to create a small entertainment district near the Regal movie theater and plan on spending $11.4-million to do it.
Wilmorite is asking for $3.6-million in tax breaks, including property, sales and mortgage taxes. The company says the project will create 136 jobs, thought it is only required to create 50 jobs to qualify for the PILOT tax breaks.
